This is not a new posting but I somehow NEVER saw it until I was searching for Sordid Lives tidbits for the blog! What a great plug for the show!

I can't wait for the sex scenes with Rue!

Rue McClanahan in NY Times Today!

From the New York Times article about "An Urban Oasis", finding a place in the city that is more than just a city apartment. Rue talks about having a backyard!

from the NY Times:
“This makes New York possible for me,” said the hammock-rocking actress, Rue McClanahan, the Oklahoma-born “Golden Girls” co-star now in the new Texas gothic cable series “Sordid Lives.” After migrating from sunny California, Ms. McClanahan scored the seemingly impossible — a large backyard with hibiscus trees at an East Side doorman building.

Here is Rue with another Hollywood legend, Dustin Hoffman. Yummy!

Poll Winners!

The last two polls showed that "Listen to me you little pill poppin bitch" (said by Rue McClanahan's Peggy to Bonnie Bedealia's Latrelle) was everyone's favorite line so far and the original version of "Sordid Lives" is still your favorite Olivia Newton-John track from Sordid Lives: The Series!

A new poll is coming soon!

Fan Mail: Rue McClanahan Returns Better Than Ever

With permission I'd like to share with you an email we received at Sordid Lives The Blog about reigning queen of Sordid Lives: The Series, Rue McClanahan:

"Rue was my idol growing up. I wanted to be her. I've seen every episode ever aired of the Golden Girls and never thought that I'd have the golden opportunity to see Rue on TV in a new role again. I've seen all the trailers and was at a screening where they showed her censored sex scene, and I don't think I've ever loved her more. Adding Rue to Sordid Lives was the most brilliant casting choice the gay gods have ever made. I can't wait to see more and more and more and more of Rue."

Well we couldn't agree more with you at SL: The Blog.

Rue, if you are out there reading this, WE LOVE YOU!
